Sustaining our Environment

Sustaining our Environment

IESL are highly conscious of the need to integrate a sustainable environment with creating economic wealth through sound business practices. An observation of the Kyoto treaties and Agenda 21 referencing climate change indicates global reductions in CO2 emissions of 50% over the next 50 years

An enormous challenge demanding the unified efforts of the worlds business and industrial communities to deliver solutions. IESL have determined that there are three principal areas of activity in which we can make a difference:

Renewable & Sustainable Energy Projects

The clear recognition that the global environment is now suffering from excessive carbon emissions has been driving IESL's objective to use its considerable related experience and expertise to help solve some of the causal factors. We have been actively developing technologies and project experience to deliver practical solutions for:

  • Wind Power Generation
  • Bio fuels Power Generation
  • Combined Heat and Power
  • Local, high efficiency small scale power generation

Business Practices

In line with our external focus we are conscious of the need to invoke culture and mindsets within IESL that ensure our working practices provide optimal economic and ecologically results. Consequently, we are continuously reviewing our approach to:

  • Energy Efficiency
  • Recycling
  • Waste Management

By drawing on the skills and capabilities of IESL and by strategic partnerships and alliances, the focus and service provided is solution orientated.

The result is that IESL covers all expectations of there clients

De-Commissioning

The previous thirty-five years of activity in the oil & gas industry of the World has been an exciting and frenetic period that has resulted in economic benefits for the countries involved as a whole.

The next thirty five years will continue this theme in part, but will also see a period of new experience and learning of how to return the environment back to its original state. IESL have been actively developing technologies and working practices to facilitate this:

  • Undertake removal of offshore platforms
  • Undertake removal of pipeline systems
  • Find and implement techniques for the re-use of existing facilities
  • Find the most ecologically friendly method of disposing of redundant facilitie
